Woman Gem was birthed in 2003 out of a need to heal through spirituality and writing. As a result, Doreetha began writing for In His Grip Ministries while sitting as a board member and advisor. Throughout the years, this Sisterhood has grown from a warm circle of friends into a community of friends. Our mission is to heal the broken-hearted, empower aspiring authors, and amplify underrepresented voices by providing workshops and a platform for new literary talents to share their stories. We are dedicated to publishing works that promote meaningful causes, inspire change, and connect with readers on a personal level. We are committed to fostering creativity and collaboration, so we work closely with community facilitators, writers, editors, and designers to cultivate opportunities for holistic growth and literary networking in the dynamic world of book publishing.

TESTIMONIALS
Being a co-author on the anthology, How to Build a Bridge and Get Over It, was truly a transformative experience. Doreetha was so kind, patient and encouraging. Her focus on telling my story in my own words, helped me to actually find my “voice.” Though I kept trying to quit, her reassurance and certainty about my ability, along with her guidance and experience, made it near impossible. Anyone who has the pleasure of working with this “woman gem” will certainly not regret it.

Woman Gem is more than a platform , it is a movement of clarity, courage, and creative breakthrough.
Being connected to Woman Gem has been a refreshing and empowering experience. It creates a safe and intentional space for authors and visionary women to confront writer’s block, refine their voice, and birth what God placed inside of them. There is encouragement, accountability, and wisdom flowing through this community.
Woman Gem doesn’t just focus on writing , it nurtures the woman behind the words. It reminds us that our stories matter, our voices carry weight, and our obedience to write can impact generations.
If you are an author struggling to push past fear, doubt, or stagnation, this is fertile ground. Creativity flows here. Confidence is restored here. Purpose is sharpened here.
I am honored to be connected.
